It began with a need to care for fleece.
Unicorn’s story began on a family alpaca farm, with a search for a better way to clean fleece. That fiber-first approach grew into care for wool, fine knits, and everyday laundry — matching the cleaner to the job rather than treating every fabric the same.
The three Beyond products we carry are unscented and concentrated. Unicorn describes its range as biodegradable, made in the USA, and not tested on animals, with no enzymes, dyes, or phosphates.

Beyond Fibre Wash

Your favorite socks, the sweater you pull on all winter, a shawl made by hand — these are the pieces worth looking after. Beyond Fibre Wash is Unicorn’s unscented everyday wash, made to refresh wool and delicate knits without removing their natural lanolin.
Its uses extend beyond the wool basket: silk, everyday clothes, swimwear, and workout wear can all benefit. It is concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

Beyond Soft
A little finishing care for a softer feel.
After the wash comes the finish. Beyond Soft is Unicorn’s unscented, anti-static fiber conditioner — a different job from cleaning. It enhances softness, helps reduce wool’s itch factor, and minimizes dye loss.
For knitters, spinners, and makers, that care continues into blocking and preparing fibers. It is a useful companion for natural and synthetic fibers when their care instructions allow conditioning.

A conditioner, not a wash
Choose Beyond Fibre Wash for everyday cleaning. Beyond Soft is a separate finishing product; use it only where the item’s care instructions allow. Our sock washing routine stays simple: wool wash, cool water, and line drying.

03 · When the job needs more
Beyond Clean
From raw fleece to the toughest laundry.
Some jobs call for more than an everyday wash. Beyond Clean is Unicorn’s deepest-cleaning unscented detergent, made for raw wool and mohair, stubborn stains, fabric odors, and heavily soiled laundry.
It tackles grease and grime, and can remove lanolin from wool when that is the goal. That makes it a different tool from Beyond Fibre Wash, which is designed to leave lanolin in place.

Match the wash to the fiber
Unicorn notes that warmer water helps with oily, heavily soiled loads. That is not advice to hot-wash your wool socks: follow each item’s care label, test for colorfastness, and keep our socks in cool water.
