Privacy policy
Point of View Farm is a small family farm in Bangall, New York. This policy explains what information we collect when you shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We sell what we raise — we have no interest in selling your information to anyone.
What we collect
When you create an account or place an order, we collect the details needed to serve you: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and the contents of your orders. If you sign up for text notifications, we keep the mobile number you provide for that purpose.
When you browse the site, we collect basic technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) to keep the store running smoothly and to understand what customers find useful.
How we use it
We use your information to prepare and deliver your orders, confirm purchases, answer your questions, keep your account up to date, and — only if you ask us to — send you text messages about your order or occasional farm news.
Order details are shared with the services that make delivery possible: our payment processor, UPS for shipped packages, and our text-messaging provider if you have opted in to texts. They use your information only to perform that service for us.
Text messages
If you choose to receive text messages from us, we send them only for the purposes described at sign-up — such as order confirmations and pickup reminders. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for assistance, or email us at finnsheep@finnsheep.net. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. This text-message program is operated by Point of View Farm, registered with carriers under the brand name Finnsheep.
Payments
Card payments are handled by our payment processor; your full card number never reaches our servers. We see only enough of the transaction to match your payment to your order and issue refunds if needed.
How long we keep it
We keep order and account records for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us at any time to update or delete your account information, and we will take care of it promptly.
Security
Your account is protected by a password and, where available, one-time sign-in codes. Access to customer records on our side is limited to Sten and Cara. If you ever suspect a problem with your account, contact us right away.
