Point of View Farm

Farm to Foot

Wool socks knit from our own Finnsheep. Raised on our pastures, milled and made in the USA, and sent from the farm to your feet.

Three styles

Why Finnsheep wool?

Our flock

Every pair starts with Finnsheep bred, born and raised on our farm. Their fleece is fine, lustrous and remarkably soft — low in lanolin and long on character.

The mill

Fleeces are skirted by hand and sent to a small American fiber mill, where they are washed, carded and spun into a durable, next-to-skin yarn.

The knit

Socks are knit in the USA with a cushioned terry footbed and heel, then packed here on the farm and shipped straight to you.

Farm to Foot Sami Crew Socks

Point of View Farm "Farm to Foot" Sami Socks — crew height. Sami socks are a Point of View Farm to Foot sock style started in 2022. Inspired by love from our farm to your feet. Sami socks come in four heights: Crew, Hiker, Anklet and No Show. Mid weight wool socks start with Point of View Farm's premium Finnsheep wool. These sheep are bred, born and raised in the Hudson Valley region of New York on grass pastures that were farmed by my friend's grandfather generations ago. Now we carefully steward this land for future generations and take great pride in our special flock of Finnsheep selected for their wool quality. They grow beautiful high quality wool, mostly grey and shades of brown. The footbed and heel are thick cushiony terry loop construction. The terry loop footbed is insulating and full of cushion. It resists wear spots since it is thicker than your normal sock at the sole, heel and toe. That is the area where most socks wear first. Our customers love how long they last. No one has ever commented they were "itchy". The crew length cuff sits mid-calf, and the top of the foot area is traditional flat and ribbed knit. A touch of lycra keeps them in place... no slipping socks. They are a made in the USA product and they support the regenerative and responsible agriculture practiced at Point of View Farm. These socks are the authentic natural color of the sheep that grew the wool. The wool is not dyed... true grey wool socks. Approx 80% wool with 5% lycra in the cuff area. Recommended care is washing in cold water and hang to dry to maintain shape.
