100% Natural USA Finnsheep Premium Sheepskin with soft short wool. Natural Color brown known as Ruskea in Finland and sometimes called Morritt here in the USA. No Dyes are used. Each is a one of a kind unique heirloom item.

Generously sized at 50 inches x 30 inches with an average wool length of about 4 inches…some areas are shorter and the outer edges of this one are fringy and longer. We measure our sheepskin length from the top center to the lower left corner. The width is the largest area from side to side across the middle of the sheepskin.

This sheepskin is a really special one since it is nt only jumbo size but it has the longer fringy wool. Some areas showing lighter blond sun bleached tips for a bit of depth and dimension. Please see the gallery photo of the leather side. There is a sewn patch there I want you to see. I found a very close color matched pieces of sheepskin and stitched them in place using a furriers technique on the sheepskin sewing machine. It is just as strong as the rest of the sheepskin. There are a few areas on this sheepskin where the wool is not thick as the rest of it…so expect some variation with this one due to all of that. For most applications that will not be noticed but if you want to use this leather side up or to make garments, slippers or other crafts…then it might.

Washable, care instructions are included. They are tanned using a specific process so that washing is possible. The soft leather underside is cream colored. If you prefer to have us handle any washing, we can arrange that as well.

Wool is naturally hypo-allergenic, biodegradable and repels dirt and odors as well as being fire retardant. These are all bonuses to the fact that people like you and I just enjoy cuddling up with these. Children enjoy sitting and playing on them. We have had customers sleep on them for extra warmth and cushioning too.
